Apostolic Benediction to our beloved brother Metropolitans, Members of the Holy Synod of the Syriac Orthodox Church.

We are glad to announce the launching of the Suryoyo Young Couples Encounter (SYCE) which is a meeting of the young Syriac couples from throughout the world. It will be held in Lebanon from September 9 to September 11, 2016.

The theme of this first gathering is inspired by St. Paul's words: "Love never fails" (I Corinthians 13: 8). We chose this verse because it addresses an essential aspect of love that is at the heart of a happy married life. Furthermore, it is a topic we find useful for young couples to reflect upon. The meetings will have special prayer time and the participating couples will have the opportunity to explore the challenges that they are facing.

We hope that the discussion panels will help the participants to better understand what a Christian family is. Various lectures and discussion panels are organized to allow the young couples to share their own ideas, concerns and aspirations.

We kindly ask you to advertise this event and encourage young couples, who have been married for 10 years or less, to enroll in this year's gathering in Lebanon, through visiting the special website for the meeting: www.sy-ce.org.
